IELTS or TCF to immigrate to Canada?

Both are accepted: TCF Canada for French, IELTS General Training for English. One application can present both — and that is often what earns the most points: the second official language is worth up to 24 CRS points, and if your French reaches CLB 7 in all four abilities, English at CLB 5 in all four raises the French-language bonus from 25 to 50 points. If you are hesitating, start with the language you are already most comfortable in.
